Hickoids Austin, Texas
The Hickoids are a long-running cowpunk band that trace their roots to mid-1980's Austin. The band was inducted to the Austin Music Hall of Fame in 2014 and since reforming in 2006 has toured extensively around the U.S. and Europe.

I've been listening to this recording almost nonstop since receiving it. After reading the liner notes from Jeff Smith, I was stunned to find out that this was such a recent release. The music sounds so classic and timeless, I couldn't believe that it had just been released this year! I've heard many of the songs before, and enjoyed seeing The Hickoids before - and this is a beautiful time capsule.
